Watcha Doin Wryn - New Release

Argh, I am having such camera issues. I am taking photo's and they look fin, all is well, but I upload them and they look dramatically different. Being that I am soooo under the weather, I gave up and my hubby took the photo for me, hence the tall building view angel ;D

Any way, onto a new Wryn release by Tiddy Inks, this is Watcha Doin'? merged with Make It Crafty's - Open Window digi. Check out the Tiddly Inks blog for more awesome samples from the DT's. BTW the Open Window also is available as a rubber stamp.

This project was inspired by an English Tea package I found. I thought it would make a fun gift. To my chagrin, the "Keep Calm and Have a Cup of Tea" isn't on the individual tea packets *sigh* Cute any way!

Cowboy Wryn & Other Wryn Release

Hey great news! There are some more ever so popular NEW Wryn images available this week at the Tiddly Inks store - Cowboy Wryn and Wryn with hearts.

TI Image - Cowby Wyn
Deconstructing Jen - The Deconstructed Sketch #37
Skirt is NOT paper pieced - I made my own plaid with Copics
DP - Echo Park & miscellaneous scraps
In homage to Jen, I tried doing the doodle borders, very nerve racking stuff! I tried my hand at making my own plaid using just Copics, not bad, but on close inspection, a tad messy. Almost messed up the hat too, a lot of Zero was used to save the day, thank goodness too, I had already finished colouring everything else.

One major flaw, I think I should have printed Wryn larger. Oh well!

Tiddly Alien Cuteness!

Argh! Every have one of those crafting days when everything seems to go awry? My Cricut seems to be on the fritz and decided to stop for no apparent reason. My Blue Copics are all running OUT, not low, OUT. And my printer ink smudged all over while colouring this project. I'm not sure which items to replace first, I seem to be running low on EVERYTHING, even my Glossy Accents, for shame! Argh!

Admittedly I think this little guys is much cuter in green skin tones, but I didn't choose a DT with green in it, my bad. As well, he is much darker then I intended, it was my light Copics that kicked the bucket. I did my best to work through all my colouring dilemma's, but something was terribly off today. I am not positive, but I think the scrap of Copic Paper I used may not have been Copic paper, hence all my issues.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your crafting is going smoother then mine ;D

TI - Colour Challenge #78

Sorry this is late. The weekend was busier then I anticipated. The lucky winner of the Belinda image is #36 Anita of Just A Pigment of My Imagination!

Tiddly Tuesday - Color Challenge - green, yellow, orange and blue

Welcome back to another Tiddly Inks Challenge - #78. This week we have a Colour Challenge for you. Lets see how these colours inspire you!

Color Challenge - green, yellow, orange and blue

As you can see, I didn't EXACTLY adhere to the same shades as the colour image, but we have included the words too, they are where I chose my inspiration.

When I saw the challenge colour palette image, I instantly thought of this SU Delicate Dots DP collection. I happened across a wonderful tutorial for making paper chevrons by Jennifer McGuire Ink, which bloomed these creations. They look incredibly complicated, but are easy to make and use very little DP.

All of my supplies seem to be running out at once. So some of my colouring is off due to low Copic ink. I've found that my Copics stop blending easily once the colour starts to dry out. My greens, blues and skin tones are all acting up! blah!

TI - Baby Girl
I had to reprint her head and adhere with dimensional tape due to Copic ink failure ;(

Welcome to Tiddly Inks' first blog hop of the year!

We are celebrating the many friends that make our world a more lovely place and are so glad you are here as one of them. :)

We are trying to keep this simple, so the blog hop is based on the Challenge Blog home page. Instead of directing you to the next page, we suggest you keep the Challenge Blog open and create a new window for the hopping around (click Control when you click on each link and it will open the link in a new window).

After you visit with me today, just click HERE to return you to the main list (and that is where the prizes are listed...hint!)

Have fun playing along with everyone!

Tiddly Inks - Wryn or my boo ;D
Did you know that Tiddly Inks - Wryn is loosely based on Chrisy's daughter? Our kids must look alike because this is a complete caricature of my Boo, straggly hair falling out of the pony tales and all. The only thing missing is her busily doodling away with crayons.

I used a sheet of chipboard that shipped with an online order and cut it with my SU Top Note die run through my Cuddle Bug Machine.

My project today is a chipboard mini album using my SU - Top Note die and Wryn of course. You know how I love the bright colours, so I dipped into my Echo Park - Splash collection again - it has served me so well.

Inspired by Julie Johnson of Paisley and Polkadots, I tried to make a bundled mini album that was busting with accents without looking messy. Check out her blog, her mini albums are so stinkin' creative.

These photos are varying ages of Princess-ness!

Lots of chipboard layers.
Also, some great news! As a special thank-you for stopping by today, Christy has donated Belinda (seen below) to one lucky commenter of this post. So please leave a comment on this post, include your email address for your chance to win. There are more single image prizes to be won, so check out ALL the DT members blogs or you'll miss out.

Tiddly Inks Celebration #77

You must must must see the adorable new release "Wryn" at the Tiddly Store. TOO cute! What a way to start off the New Year - FABULOUS!

Welcome back and Happy New Year to everyone! Just a note: our regular challenges are changing to last two weeks, so you now have plenty of time to participate. As well our DT will blog Inky inspirations for you each week, so please stop by and give us all some love. Now on to our current challenge: The Tiddly Inks Design Team is back and ready to start the year off with a "Celebration!" Any celebration, and don't forget a Tiddly!

Oh my gosh, I think I am in a Holiday coma. When I finally dragged myself to my craft table, which had been confiscated for the Christmas dinner table, I had a lot of searching to do. I couldn't find half my stuff. So scraps it was, along with some new Christmas goodies.

This card is to celebrate my hubby and I's 19th wedding Anniversary which is January 30th. He saw me colouring the image and ran off to grab some googly eyes. He very desperately wanted me to use them on the girl so she would looked shocked.

October Afternoon DP - Fly a Kite
Sentiments - SU: Treat Yourself, Studio G: always and forever
I used my NEW EK success Journal page punch and Tim Holtz game spinners. I didn't realize the dials had turned down until I uploaded the photo, oh well.

My little darling 6 year old daughter played along with me this week too. She has some fun cards she made to send to her extended family. How cute. With Christy's permission, I also made up a Inkspot watermark just for her.

Jillybean - Watermelon and Gazpacho Soup DP
Boo hand wrote "having" over the Fun In the Sun on the tag.
She wanted everyone to know that the yellow is the glow off the Angel's wings.
So glad you stopped by. Please don't forget to check out my Tiddly peeps at the challenge blog, they work so hard and design so well.
Don't forget to check out the Teamies! Wowzer - you won't be disappointed.

Kiddie Gift Bags Tiddly Style

For those of you who have perused my blog through the previous years, you have seen this project before in some form or another. It's so easy to do and great for the kiddies at Christmas time. As well, if I recall properly last year I took a break from Snowman Soup and made Reindeer Food ;D

This is the Christmas treat bags for both my First Grader's and my Kindergartener's classmates. I coloured up the snowman from Tiddly Inks - Inky Critters in PhotoShop and added the Snowman Soup poem before saving as a jpeg, which I turned into multiple gift tags for the treat bags. Easy Peasy - lemon squeezy.

My Snowman Soup had to be food allergy friendly, since there is a Glutton and a Nut Allergy in my DD's class. The mini marshmallows and Allen's candy canes were both allergy free, but I had a heck of a time finding wheat free hot cocoa. I finally found an organic brand that would fit the bill, but of course it was twice the price ;D Oh well!

Here is the snowman soup poem. I have been using this same one for a few years, like I said earlier, the kiddies love it.

Was told you've been real good this year
Always glad to hear it
With freezing weather drawing near
You'll need to warm the spirit
So here's a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick
Just add hot water, sip it slow
It's sure to do the trick

Avenger Merry Holidays!

Happy Friday and Merry Holidays to you all!

This is Christmas Avenger from the Tiddly Inks Basement along with Make It Crafty's - Gift Way all blinged up and combined with Echo Park - Season's Greetings DP. The snowflake ribbon is re-purposed from gift from a friend.

Originally this was just suppose to be a shaker card for this weeks Tiddly White Christmas challenge, but as you see it got VERY BRIGHT! I also converted the shaker into a detachable Christmas Tree Ornament in the end. I adhered the shaker ornament to the card with re-mountable adhesive (it looks like white gum), I'm not sure of it's proper product name.

Here is the Splitcoaststampers - Shaker Card Tutorial. My kiddies LOVE ornament, they are always make the snow fly.

Hope you are all having a fantastic and non frantic lead up to Christmas. I have one more project coming up next week, so if you have time please stop by. If you can't, I wish you and yours a wonderful Holiday Season!!!

Tiddly - White Christmas #76

Hey all! Wow, has all of your free time been gobbled up by Christmas happenings? Mine sure has. But if you can, please make some time to join us today for our Tiddly Inks Challenge - #76 White Christmas! It's our last TI Challenge for 2011! Great way to knock off a much needed Holiday card maybe!

I have a confession. This wasn't my original't card for the White Christmas challenge. The first one, I went all out of control with colour so decided to give it another go. I'll save the original for the following week, so don't forget to come back ;D

Enough of that, meet Tiddly Inks - Lilli Claire - Warm Wishes. Being inspired by Dorcas Designs, I just had to color on kraft paper with Prisma Colour pencils. Dorcas colours on kraft cardstock like no-one I have ever seen before, she is phenomenal.

I did the fur and the falling snow with a white Sharpie paint pen, which made the white pop. I didn't use mineral spirits or anything such thing, just the pencils. I found that they were creamy enough to blend on their own. I have to laugh, this card displays every PrismaColour I own, I only have 10 :D DP is Bo Bunny - Snowfall Collection

Sorry for more die cut snowflakes, but there is a bunch hanging around my crafting table from earlier projects, so they snuck in.

Don't forget to check out the Teamies! Wowzer - you won't be disappointed.

Sexy It Up!

Today is a new Tiddly Inks Challenge! # 75 - Oh La La - Sexy Card to Warm Things Up! Get out your favorite most sexy Tiddly Inks image and join along. As well check out the DT's creations, they are sex-tactular!

Hmm, should I have spelled it "Chickie"??? Oh well, since it's not technically a real word, spelling doesn't count ;D

I am so bummed! On the left side I made this cool ribbon border piece (SVG Slotted Ribbon Border - Images by Heather M) that looked so much like a garter belt, then promptly covered it up with my image and roses so you can barely see it ;D

This is Tiddly Inks - Tainted Gothic Pinup (1 or 2 version) with

Computer Generated sentiment - City Burn font by dfont.com

My best friend growing up turns 40 in February as do I, so I thought a card on the Fabulously Forty side was necessary!

I struggled with photographing this card, it was hard to have the true red of her hair not turn pink while keeping the details of the roses.

I raided the next town over's Michael's Crafts store for this card - wish we had one in my town :(
Details:
DP - Posh by Teresa Collins
Roses - Recollections
Gem Flourishes - Recollections
Feathers - my daughters craft cupboard ;D

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time - #91 Be Square
Alphabet Challenge - V for Very Vibrant
Mark's Finest Papers - Favorite Embellishments (feathers, need to use them more often)

Be sure to check out what the rest of the team has been up to - You won't be disappointed!

Fairy Fae with MIC for Deconstructing Jen

Deconstructing Jen #29 is a fun two week give-away, in honor of Jen's son turning five! I couldn't wait to play along with this fab sketch, and Jen's Design Team will knock your socks off.
I turned the sketch on it's side however to better accommodate my image of Fairy Fae Dreams by Tiddly Inks and Fern Log by Make It Colourful. I printed this up a while ago and have been too busy with Christmas images to finally ink it up with my Copics.
The butterfly border and green circle border are by K & Company, I coloured the butterfly one with E29 because it was actually purple. The DP is Bo Bunny Vicki Collection.

I coloured the fairy wings with my Gelly Roll pen, not sure it shows up well in photo.

This card is entered in the following Challenges:
Deconstructing Jen - Sketch #29
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - #85 Lots of Sparkle (Sparkle Gel Pen in Fairy Fae wings)
Diva's By Design - #16 Anything Goes

Tiddlying Along and Redo's

Good Morning! I hope all you American's had a fun, festive and safe Thanksgiving. It was just a regular ol' Thursday here in Canada ;D

A friend asked me to dress up the cover of a journal she had purchased for her daughter. The journal flaps are a fairly deep purple, setting my colour choices.

Here's what I came up with. I re-purposed this coloured image of Fairy Fae Catches a Star from a card I made a while back. I had liked how the image came out, but not the card so much. May as well re-use it then to just have it stuffed away in a drawer.

I added the original stylized mat on top of a new square mat to fill out the size for the journal cover, it's quite large - 6" x 9". I was able to pull open the spiral binding to remove the cover in order to properly align the holes on my card stock.

I also added an oversize grommet to one hole on the ribbon to prevent the ribbon from fraying - hopefully. The grommet was large enough to still allow the pages to flip easily.

Tiddlying for Two Weeks

It another fabulous Tiddly Tuesday Challenge - #74 - Anything Goes and this one runs two weeks. I thought the two week challenge was last week, oops, my bad, sorry for any confusion I may have caused. This whole month has been a wonderful Anything Goes theme at the Tiddly Inks Challenge site, so get out your favorite Tiddly and play along with us.

This is Tiddly Inks - Snowy Wishes and Snowman set. I distressed inked the edges of all the Bo Bunny - Snowfall Collection papers shown. The SVG snowflakes were layered and popped up with dimensional tape.

I originally made this card with darker snowflakes as seen above, but then changed my mind and redid them in more traditional snowflake colours.
