Monster High Again!

I've had way too much fun colouring up these Tiddly Inks - Sugar and Spice girls. They are so awesome. You can't help but glob on the Glossy Accents and Stickles with these fab girls.

I wanted to use them this time in a Non-Halloween card. Oh I did do a little altering to these ladies. I removed a Halo and a swirling of bats before I merged them together.

I can't help, but colouring up these Sugar and Spice beauty's like Monster High dolls. My daughter had a birthday 2 weeks ago and received almost every single girl. I am fascinated with them, their forms, their makeup and I wish I had the nerve and the taste to dress so fun in High School.

I mocked up my Sugar and Spice girls in the Sketch Saturday's - Week 178.sketch layout using DCWV - Teen Prints DP. I don't use a lot of triangle shapes on my cards, so this was a fun escape.

I learned a great tip a while back that you can colour over you pearl stickers with Copics. It works perfectly and ensures I always have the right colour on hand. The Letter gems are from the dollar store.

The skulls are from Tiddly Inks - Down to Your Bones Mega Pack. I merged the bow from Tiddly Inks - Watcha Doing? ontop of the skull to make it Monster High-ish! Hope I'm not infringing on any copyrights!

Agent Popcorn Release

Don't you just love when a card falls together so easily and actually turns out the way you envisioned it. Hasn't happened much for me lately until this card - hurray!

I just ADORE this Agent Popcorn new release from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, Agent Popcorn is so fun and inspired such a fun card to make.

After getting this awesome image, I went on a hunt for a popcorn box, movie film strip and scene clacker svg's. Then changed my mind and downloaded free clipart of all 3 instead of svg's. I printed the popcorn box 3 times: once for the card base, once for the card front and the last time to 3D pop some of the kernels. I added Skittles to make the popcorn look buttered.

I originally wrote in pen on the scene clacker, but didn't like it, so blacked over it then used my Dyno Label Maker for my Girl's Night sentiment.

Don't forget to stop by the LLM - Challenge Blog and see all the other wonderful creations.

I am submitting this card in the following challenges:

I used this Witch House by Make it Crafty, which was a prize I won from the Make It Colourful challenge blog. I wasn't sure how to colour thatch so went with my hair colouring technique, engh, why not! ;D

Hope you have a fab day, I am off to the Apple Orchard with my son's Junior Kindergarten class. My daughter's class is going too, so I get to see both of them today! :D

Deconstructing Jen #23

I actually had time today to play along with the Deconstructing Jen - Sketch #23.

I paired DCWV Teen Prints paper stack with Tiddly Inks Basement - Bev. The border edge SVG is from My Time to Craft.
Keeping it sweet and simple today, we have a busy weekend coming up. It's my DD's 6th Birthday, Happy Birthday Boo!

All Things Girly Girl!

Good Morning everyone. Hold on to your hats, yes pun intended, sorry. Today's Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge - #20 Girly Girl, is to go girly-glorious on your paper craft. Please don't forget to leave some love for the other ladies on the DT, they work so hard and are forever impressing the heck out of me.

I used Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge - Recipe #40 Sketch. I took a lot of liberty with their sketch to keep with my Shabby Chic feel, but it is honestly their sketch.

And how about this awesome LMM - Melba Flora image from the Hatter's Combo. I just LOVE these hatters, and it just seemed so Shabby-luscious to me.

Unrelated Personal Note: You know how they say things happen for a reason?

Last year my kids and I were devastated when our family cat unexpectedly passed away. It was the children's first experience with death, and started a lot of questions for them.

Last week my husband's grandmother passed away. Although my kids had only met their Great-Nana on a few occasions, they understood the gravity of the loss especially as it pertained to their Nana. My daughter even told her Nana over the phone that "I would be sad forever if I lost my Mommy, so I know how sad you are Nana" and promised her a humungous hug when they met next.

More then anything, they understood that death was permanent, which made it all the more clear to them why Nana and Daddy were so sad. Although I hate that we lost our beautiful cat, and the my Nana-In- Law, the death certainly taught my kids an important life lesson and taught them empathy.

Any way, it meant a sad and very buys week for us having to go out of town unexpectedly. Which is why I was so late in commenting on everyone's blogs.

Deconstructing Jen N Tiddly #22

This is my second post for today, please scroll down for the Little Miss Muffet.

Deconstructing Jen Sketch Challenge #22 is being hosted by the lovely Christy Croll of Tiddly Inks, so I was so excited to play along.

I used Sugar Angel's Halloween from the new Sugar and Spice release found here. The paper combination is Too Cute to Spook DP by Bella Blvd..

Oct. 6 New Releases LMM

Time for Little Miss Muffet Stamps bi-weekly New Releases.

What do you think of this Trick or Kitty image? I LOVE IT! So adorable. I am a SUCKER for Halloween images, they are so fun. Need to get myself some more themed DP though. I played along with the Card Positioning Systems Sketch Challenge CPS238, tweaking it slightly, the panels are offset and my sentiment didn't look right dead centre below the image.

The DP is Too Cute to Spook by Bella Blvd. The sentiment tag I have had stashed away for ages, can't remember who it's by.

This card is entered into the following challenges:
Come and Get It Challenges - Happy Halloween Challenge
Paper Creations Ink - Black& or Orange Challenge #10
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Halloween #154

Painted Tiddly Challenge

Boo! It's Tiddly Tuesday again. Today we are painting on our tiddly projects. Acrylic, watercolour, have at it with a little paint or a lot. Tiddly Inks Challenge #67 - Paint It Up!

I used my watercolour paints to make my sky and moon. Not lovin' it. It looked much cooler in my head. But my gorgeous BettyBelfry turned out just as I hoped.

I used a few different SVG's on this project for my scary silhouette, Spider Corner by SVGShop.com, Wicked Halloween Tree by My Time to Craft, Broken Fences by Creating in Carolina.

I attempted making my own DP. The smaller purple piece I ran through the printer with text, the other is stamped with a Studio G dotted circle stamp and I inked the edges. I also blinged up the spider web and spooky tree with Black Diamond Stickles.

I admit I don't love the finished project, but the process was fun.

This card is being submitted for the following challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown - #69 Halloween
Fussy and Fancy Challenge - Try a New Technique (watercoloured background)

SFC118 - Paper Piecing Monster

So our challenge today SFC118 at the Squigglefly Challenge Blog is to... wait for it, use paper piecing somewhere on your craft. How easy is that!

Don't know about you, but my wallet takes a major hit this time of year. Not only back to school, but many birthday's, Thanksgiving and X-Mas, YIKES! So to be good I went on a search for CHEAP and was amazed at the number of inexpensive image at the Squigglefly Store, there are even a bunch for as low as 99 cents.

This is Monster Mania: Smiley by artist Jane Beljo, available at the Squigglefly Store and he is only $1.50! This adorable little monster is paper pieced in October Afternoon - Rocket Age, actually all the DP used is from the Rocket Age set. I just love the old 70's style computer punch card, it reads Launch Calibration, too cute. Oh and I had just the right size googley eye to fit this monster :D

Don't forget to check out the Squigglefly Store for freebies so you can be entered in the weekly draw for a prize. As well Marlene's Marvels have a wonderful array of samples for todays challenge over the Squigglefly Challenge Blog.
