CAS86 Sunflower thanks

I made these yesterday afternoon, but due to the rainy Canadian weather the pictures I took turned out to dark, so I had to retake them today which thankfully is sunny.

This is for the Clean & Simple Challenge #CAS86 inspired by Cookiebaker.

My take on an even simpler version of the above card.

'Not Quite Baja' Christmas

I've been thinking that I would like to make up a small Christmas card set to sell at my daughter's school Christmas bizarre (if they have one) so, I sat down today with intentions of making a simple and easy to replicate card.

This card looked very crisp and clean without any background images, but I have been meaning to use these flourishes by Inkadinkado for some time now.

If this is the chosen cards to make as a package, I will definitely go without the flourishes to make the mass production easier.

Get prepared for an early X-mas. I have half a dozen ideas already planned, although admittedly some duplication of layout.

SC229 - Get Well

I needed a masculine "get well" card for my nephew who was diagnosed this week with Kidney Disease. My heart goes out to him and my sister, I can't imagine how scared they must all be, they are in my thoughts constantly.

The layout is from Wednesday's sketch challenge over at SplitcoastStampsers (SC229). My colour inspiration came from a colour challenge I recently saw using any colour of blue and green, but can't I remember what the challenge was so can't give them props. I think it was Viva la Verve!, but now can't find the thread.

I didn't have a get well stamp, so thinking of you made the most sense. I masked the Monkey Paw Fern in order to stamp the Script around the leaf.

I tried to roughen up the edges of the white cardstock using scissors, but it doesn't really show in the photo.

Kraft Homage

This is my homage to Jennifer Bucks - The Buck Stamps Here "Late" design for the No Time to Stamp challenge "Thread it Through"

I have Kraft paper and the SU - Simply Silhouette stamp set, but instead of merely casing, I was inspired to create this card:

I have wanted to use this butterfly since my hubby bought me this set Inkadinkado- Garden Delight last year, but never knew how to use it since it was so large.

I had planned on stamping it in Memento Rich Cocoa then adding the image to a card with an orange and cocoa theme. However when I stamped the image out in just the Memento Rich Cocoa it reminded me of Jennifer's card and before I knew it, I had a monochromatic homage to Jennifer Buck's "Late".

I didn't have any coordinating DS to match so I created my own using the Stampendous - Tiled Quad Cube, also a gift from my hubby - ain't he grand!

Take Two - ssnotime51

I just wasn't happy with the card that I made for the Stamp Simply challenge (ssnotime51) on No Time To Stamp - Dancin' With Dee! Check out Dee Jackson's awesome cards here.

I already had this card layout made, but was just waiting on the right stamp for it. Actually this layout is a mock up I did for a scrapbook page for my daughter.

My hubby being the wonderful man that he is came home with the Garden Delight set from Inkadinkadoo for me. I had mentioned I wanted it, so he picked it up for me. Great Guy!

I am much happier with the results this time. I think if you are not using the stamp positioner then clear stamps are the way to go.
