Here is my submission for the layout challenge on ESS Enchanted Studio Scraps: November Build A Fairy Treehouse challenge #1 with Robyn Pali Designs and Jewelscraps. I really loved this layout and had started downloading portions of The Blog Train Blog's - October 2009 kit - Thankful, so thought it would make a perfect autumn leaves page.

DGC051 Wiggly Concert
Today's Digital Scrapbooking Challenge DGC05 on Splitcoasstamper's was use the clone tool to remove something from a photo and then make a scrap page with that altered photo. I cheated slightly, I had already made this page on the weekend, but hadn't flattened it because I was unhappy with a few of the items. I retouched the items, as well as used the Marquee tool tricks my hubby showed me to hide the strings in and through some of the green frames. I am loving the Marquee Tool.
I also experimented with the Liquify Tool around the half circle striped paper.
As you can see from the original photo there are heads of people in front of us that extended just above the stage line.I did use the Stamp Tool in Photoshop, but also used the Marquee Tool to cut out larger section of the photo such as the draping on the bottom of the stage and saved as new layer so that I could cover up section while repeating the pattern of the drape.

My First Ribbon Knot
I made my very first every ribbon knot in Photoshop, with the help Stacy Carlson's Gotta Pixel tutorial found here. I first tried making a striped knot with very little success. The stripes seemed to throw off the realistic look of the knot.
As well a special thanks to my hubby for showing me how to use the Marquee tool in order to hide sections of layers under other layers such as the paper clip through the ribbon or the scissors blades under the cardstock.
The one thing that concerns me about the digital stamping pages I have made is that I don't know if I am sizing the embellishments correctly. My fear is that once they are printed the scale will be off. I won't know until I print them.

Sweet Kid
I have seen many multi layer pages and wanted to give it a try. Still working on it, but I think I am improving.
As part of the online digital scrapbooking pool, you are obligated to give credit to the designer or distributor of the items used to create your page. I certainly hope I haven't forgotten anyone in the details. I'm nervous the Digital Scrapbooking Police will come and arrest me.

First Digital Layout
Literally last night - I decided I need to give digital scrapbooking a whirl. I am WAY behind in my kids books and always seem to be out of tape, ink or one embellishment or another.
I have created digital greeting cards before as well as digital baby announcements using an older purchased greeting card software, but have never tried to make a digital scrapbook page.
So I jumped on Google this morning and found ShabbyPrincess.com. Everything I needed to get started was right there, including some awesome video tutorials such as working with PhotoShop. I just watched one video, it was enough for me to get going. I already knew how to resize, rotate and flip images as well as adding text and such, but I didn't know about all of the saving options. Very helpful.
All in all I am very pleased. I can't wait to do some more. If any of you have any suggestions as to some good sites for Digital Scrapbooking, please let me know, I'd appreciate it.

SC252 Halloween
I purchased 4 new digi stamps from Pink Cat Studio, specifically to use with my new Copic starter set which was an early Christmas present from my adorable hubby. Thanks hubby.
My markers bled a little, I wonder if I need to try my SU-Whisper White instead? Any thoughts, what paper works best for Copic colouring? I am stilling also learning the technique and need to get myself 2-3 markers of the same colour family - to do better blending. I also am not terribly impressed that that the starter kit comes with such dark values, when it seems that the light shades are the most important - at least that's my impression from all the tutorials I have watched on You Tube.
The layout was today's Sketch Challenge over at SplitCoastStampers, challenge # SC252.Details:
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio Digi stamp: Itty Bitty Betty - Yummy Frogs
Ink: Copics
Paper: Kelly Panacci: Halloween Stripes, Halloween Circles, Orange Mini Dots, Imaginisce spider border
Accessories: Spellbinders: scallop rectangle, Sandylion sticker sentiment

Trick or Treat Goodies
I made these little Halloween treats for my daughters JK class. Due to all the food allergies kids have now days, I didn't want to send in any food treats, but happened across these little Crazy Eights/Old Maid card-game sets sold in a package of 24. Her class is only 19 - hurray!
These were fairly easy to make, I stapled together a one inch strip of Halloween themed cardstock around each Game-set then mounted the scalloped edge image onto the stapled portion. I wanted to keep it easy for the kids to access the games or all my hard work would get demolished in the attempt to free the gift. Who am I kidding, they are going to get destroyed any way.
It would have been even easier to make this project if I had the right size punches. All in good time though. I have debated whether to purchase the one or two needed punches from SU or buy the Scallop & Circle Spellbinders individual sets. Can't make up my mind though. It's a money thing.
Details:
Stamps: SU - Batty for You
Ink: black, green, indigo, orange
Paper: left over Halloween scraps
Accessories: colluzle, scallop punch, stampler
