So I was feeling the colour purple this evening and craving to ink up my new Imeldabella . Not having any new paper to play with, I decided to rummage through my scrap paper drawer. Because it's all scraps, I can't tell you the paper I used.
I am finding it hard at this time of year to do much of anything. It seems your thoughts and time are constantly being pulled in different directions. It's nice to have these little diversions.

Scraps of Fun

Quick & Cute
This was a really easy one. I used this pattern once previously and thought I would give it a Christmas theme. The directions for this Flip Flop card are here on Splitcoaststampers:
I used Hero Arts clear design Holiday Trees & Christmas Tree Trimmings. Love this set, and I used up some of the remaining paper from my Christmas card stock by Chatterbox. I have to admit, I did case the ribbon positioning though, just to jazz it up a bit.
And I finished the whole thing off yet again with Stickles.

Busy Christmas Elf
All of my spare time for the last 2 evenings has been spent frantically trying to finish up my Christmas cards. I am some what satisfied with the design, it's just that since planning it I have fallen in love with several other stamps, but alas, I have many more Christmas to come.
I used "Holiday Drinks" by A Muse and "Make it Merry" from an EK Success scrolling Christmas sentiment stamp bought last year. The paper is Roxbury Rockville Park - Scenic Route (bottom) and Holly Stripe - Chatterbox (top). Since I had 25 cards to make and am a bit of a cheep skate, instead of using real baubles, I used my hole punch on the red glitter paper (sugared) by Doodlebug Designs.
You can't really tell in the photo, but I finished off the drink toppers in co-ordinating Stickles.
Got to jet, my new BELLA stamps came in yesterday and I am dying to ink them up.

A Little Like Christopher Columbus
To my great joy and amusement, I have been discovered! Someone out there is actually seeing my site. How thrilling. I sound like such a Newbie.
Allison from Stampin' When I Can has listed my site as one of her "newly discovered..." Very kewl. Now comes the pressure of making sure nothing "ugly" pops up here again.

No Time to Stamp Challenge
I saw a challenge on No Time To Stamp (ssnotime11) for November 30th and wanted to give it a try. However, having to work my last shift at my part time job then a busy weekend of re-tiling the bathroom prevented it. Better late then never, so here is what I came up with:
The challenge was to use anything as the main image except a stamp. It could be a sticker or piece of fabric, absolutely anything but a stamp. I am sure they were anticipating something a little more creative then a pre-made embellishment (from the Dollar Store no less), but I couldn't help myself. When I saw these ornaments I almost squealed out loud. I have been envisioning a card in my mind made in these colours using Take a Bough by Papertrey Ink, but of course I haven't yet purchased that set, it's on my Christmas wish list.
