Art Journaling Tiddly Style

Wow, do we ever have a FUN challenge for you today over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog - #65 Art Journaling Tiddly Inks style. Just let you creative juices flow. You can't do anything wrong, it's all about the process, not the finished product. Here is great artist who's Journal pages will blow your mind: The Kathryn Wheel. I have to run out and get my hands on some Dylusion inks and paints after seeing her crafty designs.

Just a note about our current challenge, it will run for 2 WEEKS!

This is my FIRST ever attempt at Art Journaling - I think I'm hooked! ;D

I started off with envisioning lots of my own doodles within some swirls of hair. I decided the face of TI's - Druscilla would make the perfect anchor and kept her gorgeous wings after repositioning them.

I took a LOT of artistic license with Christy's Tiddly Ink images. Using bits and pieces of different digi's; copying and scaling in Photoshop just as if I were doodling. Almost everything within the wings is a portion of 9 manipulated Tiddly Inks digital images.

I rough ripped finished image, coloured it with Prismacolour, Crayola and Watercolour pencil crayons; glued into sketch pad then free hand doodled with marker. The rest was filled in wtih various pencil crayons, Pearl Ex, beads, dragon flies & key pendants, Stickles, letter rub on's and cracked glass technique.

I used parts a pieces of the following Tiddly Ink digi's:
Face, wings and top of hair - Druscilla
Hearts - Annies Bear
Butterflies - Flutterby
Apple Core - Love At First Byte
Grungy Ink Stain - previous freebie
Mushrooms - Fairy Fae House & Paper extra's
Spider Web - previous freebie
Flower Words - Flowery Wishes
Sea Monster & Skull Pile of Gold - Pirate Mega Pack

The journal around the edges is my ART credo. "May you always have the freedom to let your creativity flow. May you always use that freedom. May you always have the courage to push outside your comfort zone, add more and go bigger. May you always know when to self edit. May you have the confidence NOT to self criticize. May you always love what you've created. All these things I wish for you."

Please don't forget to check out the other Tiddly's Journals. This was such a fun and creative challenge, it's a must see.
